Greg Liddle Needs No Introduction… His Name Is Synonymous With Displacement Hulls As He Is Widely Regarded As Developing An Iconic Surfboard Design That Has Existed For Over 50 Years And Continues To Uproot Riders’ Surfing Philosophies With A Single Session.
The M3P Is Highly Influenced By Michael Peterson’S Surfing In The Early 1970’S Circa “Morning Of The Earth”. Watch This Film And It’Ll Make More Sense, Peterson Was Always Foc On Building Down The Line Speed And Would Bank Radical Rail Carves In Steep, Punchy Surf. Similarly, This Model Is One Of Liddle’S More Shreddy Hulls To Capture The Essence Of Mp’S Surfing In This Time Period. This Particular M3P Is Meant To Surf In An Especially Shreddy Fashion Due To The Flextail Design Which Allows The Tail To Bend When Engaged Thus Increasing Its Tail Rocker And Allowing The Board To Bank Sharper Radius Turns. The Glassing Schedule Is Strong With Five Rounds Of Double 6 Oz. Cloth Sequentially Wrapping The Bottom Quarter Of The Board As You Move Down The Tail. The Baseline Tail Rocker Is Set At 1.5″.
Remember, Hulls Are Not For Everyone, There’S A Very Particular Way Displacement Hulls Like To Be Ridden, If One Attempts To Impart Too Much Of Their Own Ways On A Hull You’Ll Find Yourself Struggling. On The Other Hand, If You’Re Able To Sit Back And Let The Hull Surf You, Everything Will Flow Much More Naturally.
